When will war end?
It’ll end when Americans and people-abroad realize that these wars only benefit corporatist interests involved in the war-machine, and the politicians, executives and hangers-on involved with those concerns.
The people in the attacked country face the obvious violence, the problems that result from the destruction of their societies infrastructure, the degradation of their countries natural resources, and then, when “victory” is declared, they find themselves under government leadership put in place by the US that panders to the same corporatist interests that started the war.
Its only when people get angry or uncomfortable enough to get out of their daily routines and drive for personal self-interests and self-fulfillment when they realize that they need to attend to the interests of the greater good. It’ll end when people realize that the final legitimacy of government comes from people, and it only exists with the people when the people stand up and realize that its their obligation to collectively control society, rather than allowing “professional” elected representatives to do it for them.
It’ll end when people don’t have the choice to take the easy-route of comfort, because the option of comfort has been eliminated.
